Hope

So it has been one of those days where it has rained and rained and rained… and on my drive home God spoke something to me that was so powerful and comforting. I am not personally going through one of those seasons where I feel like it’s always raining but I know a lot of people who are. We wake up and feel like it will rain forever, that we will never see the sunlight or get a breath of fresh air. However, God promises something so wonderful to us.

Lamentations 3:21-23 (New King James Version)

21 This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

Wow… God you are AMAZING!  Check out the message version:

19-21I’ll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness,
the taste of ashes, the poison I’ve swallowed.
I remember it all—oh, how well I remember—
the feeling of hitting the bottom.
But there’s one other thing I remember,
and remembering, I keep a grip on hope:

22-24God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,
his merciful love couldn’t have dried up.
They’re created new every morning.
How great your faithfulness!
I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over).
He’s all I’ve got left.

YES YES YES!!!! That makes me want to jump for joy and shout at the top of my lungs, “GODS LOYAL LOVE COULDN’T HAVE RUN OUT! HIS MERCIFUL LOVE COULDN’T HAVE DRIED UP!”

Hold on to Him with everything you have because there is ALWAYS hope on the horizon. Everyday is new. EVERY SINGLE DAY is new, no matter how bad the last one was or how bad you think you messed up. His mercies are new EVERYDAY!

So wherever you are or whatever season you are in, take comfort in God and breathe a breath of fresh air because HOPE is on the horizon.

Love, A.
